Recommended Zone (Green): 1-3 tile

The reason why the Recommmended placement of CC build is within 1-3 tile is because of the fact that almost all bases need to have that junk/wall/point defense buffer from the outside. Even with that set up, (wall + junk = 4 tiles), and the defense being on the perimeter the clan castle's extension is up to the 3rd tile. Anything more than that, your enemies will be able to lure with loons/hogs, making the CC building lose it's value.

The absolute limit to which where you can place your clan castle is on the 7th tile as the perimeter needs to be across the point defense in order to not be lured out. If |

Anything beyond the 7th tile makes the 12th tile wide radius exposed to the outside, and makes it extremely easy to lure. Which is why placing the clan castle building beyond the 8th tile does loses it's benefit of being center which is better.
