Kara Base Talk #2 - KYW Sprite, How to Polish a Base

2/10/2016

In a blink of an eye, 3 weeks past.

I would like to thank Grames of KARA Heroes, for allowing me to publish KARA Base Talk #2 KYW Sprite from the getgo, since the fact that most people don't want their bases to be published so early on.  I strongly recommend those that are seeking to know how to polish and how to build a base to read this Kara Base Talk #2 since the fact that this is the actual process of thinking that is going on for when it comes to building a good base, and polishing the base.  I never really do this but, I do want to say share it with other base builders, and share it with people who are seeking to learn how to develop a base, because this Base Talk is almost the best educational value for when it comes to the back-and-forth process of developing a good base, and this is all the behind-the-scenes for when it comes to making a good base.  People just see the end product, and the polishing part of the base is always stays inside the group chat, but now I am here to share all that information which is lost with the base, and here to share you what is the importance of how bases are built.  If you are going to read anything on my website, other than Division and Stages of TH9 War Bases, this would be my next in line for what you must read if you are on my website. Thank you.

1 Year Anniversary, Farming Base Variables, Horoaki, What Future Holds, History of me and this Website...

Hi there fellow readers of my website, akiyume here :)

Today (Jan 21) (or tomorrow if you count when the website went live) marks the One Year Anniversary of which my website has been online and where I started my journey of teaching Base Design, as well as how it has changed my real life career path.  In total through this year I have just reached over 100k unique visitors (meaning if you visit my website once today, you count as a u.v. but if you view any other pages, that is still count as one person.  If you visit again tomorrow, that's another one u.v.).  For those that have been enlightened, for those that have actively been with me through this journey, for those that have silently came back and continue to share and spread the knowledge, and for everyone who has been connected to me, I truly thank you.

I have divided this news into parts, "History" if you wish to know my history and how this website developed, or "What the Future Holds" part of you want to know what is being planned and new articles for the future.

Would also like to thank M.G. (their initials) for their generous donation.  Helps keeps me motivated, and appreciated ^-^. Thank you.

What the Future Holds

To be honest, like I've said, the level of investment for which I have for this website is purely dependent on my motivation level, my interest and how much energy I have to write everything.  It's a physical disability, which sometimes it's productive, but sometimes it's not. But  I do have alot of ideas in mind, and I have many projects/series in mind so this website will probably bloom even more in the future if I stay invested into this.

When it comes to what is going to come, of course my main focus is Top Tier War Bases and trying to catch up and explain them, but I enjoy branching out to other areas of interest.

To be honest, I have not tried to touch Farm Bases for a long time because of the fact that I know I'm taking too much for me to swallow, but right now I enjoy the fact that if there are topic of interest, my levels of wanting to do work spikes.

As for how my "Series" are going on, I know I have been putting it off the back burner, but actually I came up with a few more topics to try out in the future XD....

Right now I'm working on what I've stated before, I'm working on my "Advanced Guidance" series aimed at the Advanced war base builders. Still happening, but had a slight hiccup.

Have another idea of a type of "Cat and Mouse" Series where I play catch up with how much Base Design is changing (read more in the Horoaki section).

Also another Series idea would be for example taking old bases from Scrimmages that are months ago and examining why they don't work anymore in today's standards.

Farm Base Talk Series will definitely come so look forward to it :).

Future Series: Horoaki - akiyume's Base Designing Reflection Journey Series

Also proud to say that I'm going to release/work on my next generation of "Bases" soon, and help you guys learn for when it comes to base designing.  But I'm going to preface this and say the fact that, this series is NOT a "Base Show Case" and me bragging about how it works at all.  It's the opposite, where I showcase you an  base design that I have built but no longer works in today's meta, I will show the intention of what I have brought into building it, how it worked in real life, and now why it no longer works due to meta shifting.  For any of the Elite/TWC/Scrimmage level of Base Designs that see these bases I'm going to show case, I'm betting they will scorn at the fact that it's bad.  Well there is a reason why it's bad, it's because I'm showing it off after the meta has changed.

This is a Reflection Series, meaning looking back and discussing why it didn't or doesn't work anymore.

Here is the Intro for Horoaki:
Welcome to my successor towards Metaki series, the Horoaki series.  In this series, compared to my previous series, is completely different approach for when it comes to showing off the base, and showing off the design.   As a base builder, I have already explained and identified the levels of which the base designs are at in my [War Base Grades and Categories] Guide, and the rate of which attack strategies grow is already outpacing Base Building, and the rate of which Base Building grows (in the TWC clans) have far outstripped any normal base builder.  If the rate of which attack strategy evolve is ABC +D+E options to chose from, base building has to go at a linear approach of 10+2+ 0.5+1, and small incremental increase.  When it comes to base building it's such a private self-taught process which it is hard to know without being in the actual battlefield.

When I built my Metaki Series, it was built during an era where Lavaloon was the only strong attack that effectively worked on everything, and Hogs-mixed were at a balanced point.  At the current meta games, Base design has literally been outstripped and outpaced by how much advancement which attack strategies have and all of the buff given to them.  Queen Walk/Surgical Hogs for the Outside, Lavaloon, Hogs, Dragons, Valks for the insides, poison completely crippled all low hp troops in CC(I know, there is a debate on this, but you cannot deny the fact that you barely see witches in CC in any wars anymore), and just too much advancement for when it comes to offence attacking.  Even Monica, something I have described two months ago was barely being outdated, and now, COMPLETELY outdated and unusable at the scrimmage level due to how well developed attack strategies are.

This base design series is through a perspective of someone aiming for the highest level of base designing, aka at the level of TWC, because that is where the true battle field of where base are put to the test. FP clans follow afterwards but the rate of growth from FP base builders are just following TWC base building
Attack Strategy's growth rate has already eclipsed base design.  A base designed on November can no longer work due to the TH11 Patch Update.  A base designed at mid-December to early January after the patch, is already a step behind because double-zap quake came along.  Now, today (January 21) although I'm not part of TWC, I've just been informed that current meta have changed to two good extremely separated DGB's, Tesla Farms are more spaced out, and now spring trap farms are a thing, yet another step forward for base design (yay!). So base designs that were good Mid-January, are already being phased out and one step behind current meta.  The rate of which cat and mouse game between TWC base building, and TWC attack strategy is such a crazy battle.

What this series is not about the base anymore, this series is a reflection series, as to show my thought process into how I have developed the base, and how the base does not work,  which I hope you guys can pick up.  I have developed (to date, Jan 2016), about 5+ bases which are built by me and I'm willing to share and a few that are still being kept private due to [this, Vicious Cycle] reason.

Farming Base Variables - How to Choose a Correct Farm Base

Here is my first step into another area :P.  I have been holding off doing farm bases because of the fact that I know it'll be too much on my plate.  For now I'm going to do this article and then Farm Base Talk Series in the (short) future.  To be honest, I am NOT a farm base builders, nor do I claim to be one.  I won't be one in the near future either (can't really say never), and I'll leave it to the expertise in building :P.  But when it comes to finding patterns and identifying key aspects of base design, I feel like my approach with this article will be insightful. Nothing much to say now, but enjoy the Guide/article :D. (It's placed under Base Review Categories).
Farming Base Variables - How to Choose a Correct Farm Base

Sources for Bases Used on This Website

Now when it comes to base design, I have described how TWC clans have the most well developed bases while FPC play concept catch up game.  I'm not part of the TWC and as I have explained in my [Base Designer's Vicious Cycle] Page (I think I've accidentally hidden it), and it's hard to explain how a well a base in today's standard is if I steal the base and show case it and then ruin the base.  So I try my best to explain things that I've seen but can't show which sucks.

I have tried to be respectful but that is really restricting me from doing work on base design.  For example if someone from Clan A scrimmaged Clan B and screen shot all of their bases and shown me Clan B's bases, of course the information is excellent but at the same time I don't have permission to use Clan B's bases.  What happens if these bases are going to be used for another match but now since I've shown off everything, they now have to dump those bases?  That is what I don't want to happen and it's unfair to Clan B.  But the show must go on.

So what I'm going to do is if I see a base that has been featured in any scrimmages on Youtube that is 1 month old (or 2 depending on the base) I'll say it's fair grabs to use in my guides.  I won't claim that I made the base, and I apologize if I show off your secrets, but I just don't have enough bases from others to show off.

If there are any bases that are 2-3 months old I believe that it's fair for me to use it freely.  This is more of a controversial decision that I'm making, but the base will be used to serve and educate the public.   Base designs get flushed out so quickly and the growth rate of Base Designs now is at an all time high, so 2 months design I believe is already considered outdated.

Hopefully that solves a problem for me, and clarifies my views and my -unethical- use of other people's bases, which I am NOT claiming that I have built, but sucks that I have to expose them for the sake of research....

Set Up my Twitter!

Hi there fellow readers, aki here :D

I have just recently set up my Twitter account for my website (I know I'm late :P), and hopefully this serves as a better way of communicating and updating you fellows with regards to any new guides I've publish or just general thoughts when it comes to Clash of Clans.  I have never used Twitter before (I know... I'm behind), and I'll try not to spam it with stuff, but it'll serve as another way of communication. Follow me if you wish :D  So now I have both the RSS Feed, and the Twitter set up.

War (Base) Philosophy - The Separation Between Base Design and Player Drama

It's late at night, and I had a moment of clarity/feeling like a moment of 'Dao' so I'm posting some more comments.

This post will be alittle more 'serious'/philosophical post. Call me a 'nerd' or 'it's just a game bro," I get it, but I have my own enjoyment of what Base building and base designing's intricate complexity when it comes to design a good War Base. I would like to consider myself a "mad scientist"/historian/educator when it comes to base design, and I just find it too fascinating under my microscope.  Just going to disclaim, no, this isn't taking over my life, but it's one of my enjoyments :P. What I'm going to describe for you is what I had planned for my [Developmental Chart of Clan War Bases], but I'm going to touch base first with some background story and my stance on it.

When it comes to base designs, there is no right or wrong, just like how technology can be developed for "evil" or used for the "good".  My belief for base design, is that is a level of respect needed (as a player), but also the fact there is a 'strength speaks for itself', type of thinking when it comes to base designs which is separate.
--------

There is the separation between the Drama, think of it as the Light Sect, and the Dark Sect, and base design (technology).

I'm going to first say is the fact that I don't care about the drama between FPC (fair-play), and non-FPC (although I like the community of FPC better) and so does bases themselves.  When it comes to base designs, there is so much grey zones which just cannot be truly divided between "right or wrong".. there are those and clans that claim 100% Fair Play, but use stolen bases from youtube videos (which is fine, if the base works) would that be still FPC?  If you don't know the source of the base, but that base was perfected, laboratory tweaked, and went through rigorous changes due to these testings, would you still use this base as an 100% Fair play clan/player?  There is a disagree and there will be those that are against it, and those that are opposed using it, but the fact is Base Design doesn't give a sheet about it.  Of course that sense of 'dignity of being clean' is something people like, but that's just based on the drama for those that want to be 'clean' (Light Sect) and base design isn't like that.  (Allegory)When it comes to building a fortress, if your castle is built with 100% sustainable wood, hiring fair trade with good wage workers, but If your castle can't stand the beating of a small siege, then respect is only secondary. A fortress doesn't care if the siege is an ally, a battleship or a small army.  A fortress's only job is to defend.

When it comes to war, how many fair play users would be able to answer with complete confidence this statement or even thought of this: "Although we lost the scrimmage, our base designs were made respectability".  When it comes to base design, defending speaks alot, and there are threshold.  If your bases were the "Typical Anti-3 Star" designs that I have described before, and not even up to the standards of 3 star level of today's standards of defending, then no one would say "but it was built and use respectably," if all those bases get 3 starred 95% of the time on first attack.  Results of a base speak for themselves.  Of course if a base is good, and developed fairly, then by all means, it's a respectable base, and well deserve respect.  But if a base was built with forbidden arts, but still defended well, would you selfishly say "screw this base" due to it's origins or would you equally praise this base for being able to defend well as well?  Both had the same job to do, both have the same amount of buildings, traps, and walls, but the origin and the fundamental development is what is different.

For example, did you know that Empty Core was developed as an experiment through bunnies? Now if you use any bases that have empty core, would you claim "no, that was developed by evil, so we must not use it?"  There is a grey zone here as well, and what I am trying to get at is, Base Design, and the Drama is a separate thing. Base Design will advance regardless.

What's my point in all this?

My point is, Base Design is a technology, there is no black, white or grey, that's just subjective to who is using it.  Technology is technology. When it comes to base Designs it is divided into certain levels (which I will explain ALOT in a future post/in my teaser for [Developmental Chart] page, and this new release [Grades and Categories].

People are angry at the fact that people that bunny are 'bad', but that's clearly just due to the fact that the community is different.  Of course it's unfair if people that are from the Dark Sect attack any Light Sect, since they have the advantage with the forbidden techniques and jutsu (:P), but Dark Sect vs Dark Sect, and no that is from there would complain, other than people from the Light Sect saying it's "immoral" or "unfair" People aren't ever really angry as base designs since they are eclipsed by attack strategy anyways, and attacking is what's more important to the drama. Base design is a small part of the overall drama, but it still plays a big role in the picture.

So when it comes to the drama of this, I believe everyone has their own take on it, it's just different community and different believes.  It's unfair when the communities overlap, but the values of which each community has is different.

The Dark Sect value strength, winning, and raw facts.
The Light Sect value respect, well-being, and being fair.
Base Design speaks of keeping up to standard, and works or not.

As a player, you of course want to chose to join the Dark Side or the Light side. But for me, I don't belong to any side (although I like the Light side's community more :P), I am all for Base Designing and it's "Universal Truths".  A TH9 Base that is developed by forbidden arts, have the same amount of buildings as a TH9 Base that has been developed clean.  In the end, both would lay mark in my guides for their educational value.

[War Base Grades and Categories]

Now with all that philosophy, I'm here to release an (unofficial) insight page for which I view base designs and their grades.  This is more of an information page, with regards to how good a base is depending on it's origin, and the categories refer to it's style of how it defends.  I'm calling this page unofficial because the fact that the categories are completely made up (like the rest of my guides :P), but this is more speculation and forcibly trying to categories bases without proof which I dislike.  So take the readings with a grain of salt and hopefully you people enjoy it :)

Recruiting for Mt. Dumplin (Lv8 Clan FPC TH9 War) and Dumplin Hill (TH6-8 Feeder)

Just giving alittle shout-out for Mt. Dumplin and their feeder clan, which they are currently recruiting.  I have just recently left it (due to me looking for more information outside the clan for my website), but I would like to help them out with finding new members.

Mt. Dumplin is a fair play, Lv8 Clan, a part of the Reddit Alliance Clans, and are respectful as well as well managed. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a Fair play, Elite 3 Star War Clan, and would like a place to stay.  They do Bi-weekly scrimmage, which really help improve your attacking.  Although I have left the clan, I may rejoin it afterwards, who knows :P.  If you are accepted though, say it was from aki's advertisement so you get some bonus points (and so will I, muahaha).  Thanks for having me Mt. Dumplin and hope you guys that do apply, enjoy your stay there.

Air Sweeper Placement Guide (TH7-8), TH8 and TH9 War Base Designing Considerations + Comments on Credits to Base Builders

Before I start, I would like to say thank you for my first donator/ the individual who 'sponsored' these guides, W.K.C. (initials just in case this person wants privacy), thank you for the generous donation.  My photoshop program 1 year subscription has ended now, so I have to pay for it (I only like photoshop, free ones don't work as well with me/missing functions), and it helps pay for a renewal for this month :P.   Seeing the small comments, and as well as that donation really motivates me and supports me to write these guides.

School started now! So now I won't has as much freedom to write as much as I wanted to (sadly), but that won't prevent me from writing, I still got alot of things to write about.  I'm still writing up my series that will go on, but it has alot of planning and thinking to do when it comes to expressing what elements to include and what to explain, but for now I present to you 3 Guides that I have been working on for the past week.

Also if you aren't sure which guide/what guides are up to date and wish to see the date-of-release and the status of the guides I have written (whether it's New, Current, Usable, Outdated, Old], then please check out the thread:

[Compilation of akiyume's Guide and Information Thread]

Now for the guides:

Air Sweeper Placement Guide (TH7-8)
TH8 War Base Designing Consideration
TH9 War Base Designing Consideration
Air Sweeper Placement is under the [Buildings] Sub-topic, and the Considerations are placed in the [Base Creating] subheadings.   I'll probably add alittle more extra information later on to them as I feel like there are somethings that haven't been included.  Thanks for reading, and thanks for the support!

Additional Note on Matty's Plagiarized Farm Base, Arcanum, which was Entered into Clash with Ash's Contest

Alittle something that disturbed me when I was browsing my fun area (Base Design 101], is the fact that a fellow Base (farm) Base Builder, Mattyy has had his base, Arcanum TH9 Farm Base, plagiarized
and submitted to the [Top 5 Farming Base] by Clash with Ash, and the base won first place, BUT was under another person's name.  In the comment section, clearly this person admits that he submitted a base that his clan member created which is still bad under that context as well.

"
o my gosh i got first place! "
"Actually my friend showed me the base, and does it really matter, I didn't even win anything! "

Yes it does matter when base designers although, when they post it for the public, they want the base to good for the people, but when it's under another person's name and no one would know, that just sucks.  If you have created a movie, and it has been acclaimed as "best of the year", but then some guy named Michael Bayle (:P) was credited, although you would be happy that your movie has done well, it doesn't sit well with the creator.

When it comes to base design, it's free to use of course, you can't stop people from copying, but when you take credit for something you didn't do and even entered it into a contest, that is wrong.  For when I write my guides, and although there are so many bases that people have shown me, I always go and ask the clan/the person for their permission to use (for example Monica) or if I published their base without telling them a)I'm revealing their secrets which they might not want that fame b)I am providing information like I was the one who made it, which does not sit well with me.  So for those that take bases from others, there is alot of grey zones which I admit, you can use it to explain things, or use it for your own personal private usage, but know your limits to how much you can take, because using it is fine, but spreading it under your name is wrong.

 Original Source of Base:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/902642-%C2%95-Arcanum-%C2%95-A-TH9-Farming-Base-by-Matty which was Made On Nov 2015.

Contest It was Entered:
https://youtu.be/rNYWPvp7E6k

Although there really is nothing that can be done now that the video is out, and there wasn't really any 'reward', but just want to show awareness to appreciate base designers as they are a small breed, and the ones that create good bases for the public are even more rare, so they needs to be appreciated.  Hopefully Ash can correct this or somehow fix it....

Some Banter Material, Small Discussion On Clash with Ash's "Top 5 War Bases" Video

P.S:  Just for Banter, I can't believe a Base like these won "Best TH9 War Base" contest XD. Cracked me up so hard when I saw these bases (other than #2).  I feel you readers have enough experience with war bases by now to understand why most of these bases are NOT good bases (at least the first base).  Although I'm not hating on Ash, it's so funny to see how much understanding they have when it comes to actual base designing :P.   If you want to have a laugh, read below and see XD.

Thank you to those that have responded to the poll, and I'm glad the fact that people responded (also the fact that no one actually voted they don't want the donation button XD). The results shown was the fact that people prefer ads over everything else, which I found surprising.  So I'll be trying to implement ads in the website soon.  I'll try my best to disable any of the 'bad' ads if they appear. If there is any problem (I'm totally newbie to these things), or annoying pop ups, or anything that ruins the experience of my website, please comment and inform me immediately.  I rather not ruin my reputation/the experience of the reader over the ads.

I've also added a Donation button on the right side so if you have any loose change, and/or would love to donate to me, I thank you.

I'm almost ready to publish my new series soon (within a week, max is 2 weeks), so thanks for being patient, and being a continuous supporter.  School is about to start again, so hopefully I can keep up with both....

I got 3 Series in mind, I don't know if I'll be able to do them, BUT they are good starting points

Advanced Guidance War Base: mostly talking about things such as improving empty core, Zones, compartment considerations, which only those who are experienced in base building and continue to develop will understand.

Basics to Foundation: this one is alittle iffy series as I most ideas would go into advanced, but topics which is basic enough would be like Clan Castle  which different chapters could be like, lurability, position (central vs non central), CC troops choice, or things like Spring trap placement,  things that are smaller in nature compared to the Big picture of creating a 'super OPGG' base.  This series will focus more on providing the foundation and starting points of base building.

Evolution of Concepts and Building Series:  Something I thought of about 2 months ago, where it explains the 'history' of evolution of buildings such as for example Queen, where it used to be part of the symmetrical base, but now evolved to Offset Queen and it's advantages.  Or for example giant bomb which had no power, until the 1.5x damage to hog patch, then the evolution of two sets of Double Giant bombs.  This is a really easy and simple Series which can describe the history, as well as the current benefit of how it is right now.

These will be a new starting point of this website, so stay tuned :)

Happy New Year! Opinions on Donations/New Ongoing Series...

Happy New Year my Fellow Clashers!

It's been another year, and I'm hoping you guys have had a great 2015, and will have a fun 2016.  I won't be touching your personal lives, but with clash there have been many new updates and development when it comes to CoC.  For those that have been reading my website since the very beginning, I thank you.  For those that just recently came and joined, welcome to this website, dedicated to teaching TH9 War Bases.

Clash has been a fun distraction for me, as well as the fact that this website brought out the inner "developer/educator" from me, which I had fun writing guides to the public, teaching others, as well as the fact that it also is bring me closer to the career which I feel like is more suited for me.  I went from an Art School to now a more social/ Community Development type of work.  I would like to thank those that I have helped along the way, those that have been silent but show support, and those that have actively shown their support for me, I would like to thank you.

Now back to this website.  As you guys know, there is the TH9 which is considered "the sweet spot" for war, and now TH11 came, that "Sweet Spot" might shift to TH10.  I don't know if there will be any new development towards TH10 Base building, but I'll see once the meta has shifted.

For this New Year, I'm already enjoy making guides, helping base designers out when it comes to base building, and I already have a few things in mind.  Although I'm not a youtuber (sadly, I just can't do it as it's hard to record), I do do what most youtuber do, which is produce content.  I don't add fluff stuff, and I solo-ly based my information on trying to teach not just the surface, but the insight behind the theories.

--------
Aki's War Base Designing Guidance Series and Teaching Episodes

Although I don't do videos, think of the pages as youtube video themselves.  I'm planning on doing a weekly/Bi-weekly Series of Base Building which I thought would have been good as guides separately, but there is too much overlap so I want to make it as a continuous project, which could capture more attention from the public, as well as the fact that it allows me to have a good schedule.

I've already though of the first Episode and maybe the next 2, but here is the first Episode's Title
Episode #1: The Zones of a Base
Episode #2: Base Compartment Considerations

Hopefully this is a good ongoing series.  This Series though can branch out into different areas such as "Empty Core" or "Queen" branches of information.  We'll see if it happens :)

Opinions on Donations/Ads/Patreon for Incentives for me (alittle sad tone)
Here is alittle ugly topic, but I feel like it's important to me at least.  Will contain some personal stuff.   If you guys can tell, there are no advertisements on this website, or anything else. This website I actually paid real money (outta my pocket) in order to have access to better resources on weebly to create my content, and I do it solo-ly as an outlet for my creativity and for my enjoyment.  When it comes to personal life though, I'm just a struggling student that has some 'disadvantages' such as A.D.D. and alittle depression, and I am currently in school.  There is too many ups and downs, so when I feel happy, I may product some work in one night, if not, in 3 weeks I might not write anything.

So with this in mind, I enjoy making content for this website, but that's the only drive I have.  So I want to see if there is a donation button/advertisements or something else that bring up my drive.  The advantage of youtube is the fact that people can comment on the video themselves, but my website doesn't really do that, I have asked for comments on this blog a few times (which I am appreciated of for those that do :) ), but it feels like I have more silent readers that I don't know exist, and sometimes I just don't know the impact of what I do.  Feels kinda lonely ( ; ^:), but I can't do youtube, and I can't change the format of this website.

So now back to the question of, what would your opinions be on Donations/Advertisement/Patreon?  To be honest, I'm not money hungry (or I would have put advertisement long time ago, lol), or really too into that money aspect of this website.  Just want another something that could put a smile on my face when it comes to doing this website, not just the fact that what I write makes me happy.  Process of making the guide makes me happy, but not enough results to show what the guides in the end do.

Donation Goal for more Content
Plain and simple.  Not like I'm holding the guides hostage, as I will produce the guides but the fact is the guides come up really depends on my mood/my enjoyment level of wanting to produce it.  It's not a good system of releasing, could be 2 guides in 1 week, or 1 guide in 3 weeks, and it's too abnormal.  Even for example that ongoing series which I want to be bi-weekly or weekly, really is dictated by my 'drive' to actually make it.  So for example if there was a donation cap for example (not the real amount) of "reach $15-20 dollars by mid-January", and I actually reached that amount, I would be happy to produce more content before that deadline, or after that deadline.  It's just another way to bring me back into liking to make the content.

Donation/Patreon for Content
There is a website called Patreon where you can support content creators monthly, per project or something like that.  So for example if there was patreon, I can allow early access to those that want to read my stuff for those that donate any amount (don't let it be 1 cent XD...) while still giving me the option to produce more.

Not a big fan of advertisement, as it's annoying, and I tried to set it up before but adsense said I didn't have enough content (lol).  I can try to set it up again, that way there doesn't need to be a reliance on individuals, also the fact that it's also a steady way for letting me get something, at the cost of almost nothing for you guys.  I won't do those annoying popups, or re-directs, but having a side-bar or a banner at the top, won't hurt this website.

Either way, I would like to hear your opinion on donations or advertisement. I can do all 3, or just one depending on the your opinions.

Hi there fellow readers, aki here :D

Almost the end of the year, and I'm having fun doing nothing all holiday long, woot!  I just had a small urge to draw some funny Clash of Clans 4-Koma (or in this case, 3-Koma), just a small funny comic which I'm sure you guys relate to.  Tell me if you guys want more, cause I got many more ideas in mind if I do continue this.  I'm not too good at drawing, so don't mind my skill :P  Anyways, enjoy! Going to upload this to other areas, hehe.

Edit: I've decided to make a thread in the Supercell creative section.  Just made the second one after this first one, we'll see how it goes. Link: http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/966563-akiyume-s-4-Koma-Fanart-Gallery.
It has some comments and ideas which the comic is based off of, which you can read my thoughts if you wish :P.

Second Release #2-3! Empty Core Style Explanation + TH9 War Models

Second Release of my newest guides!

Merry Christmas everyone (although I'm reallly late with the post), and hope you guys have a great New Year after this.  With these two releases, marks another two guides which are up to standards for when it comes to building a good TH9 War Base.  Although it's no Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, type of guide, it's more of the insightful teaching of how to view your base, and what the reasons why a base does or does not work, and how to make it stronger.  I'm sure by now some of you heard of Empty Core Style, where there are compartments with nothing inside of them, but you don't understand why.  Well, this guide will help you understand how Empty Core Style works, and the logic behind making such base.

Hope you guys enjoy the read, and the next topic will be [Base Creation - Current Model Start Phase Building] where I'll describe some better ways of starting off building a base.

Also some website updates/down-grades.  It's hard to post information here, then update the directory, then post it in the forums.  It's too hard of a task, so I'm going to remove Directories since I don't feel like people need it anyways to navigate my site, but I will still have the page which I have links to everything by date. For now Enjoy!

First of Many Releases! #1: Offset Queen Guide

Hi there fellow readers! akiyume here!

Finally I'm done with school, although I'm still swamped by my part-time work, I feel the urge to make guides and finally make it so that my website is up to date, and is informative when it comes to base designing to today's standards.  Although previous posts tells that of topics such as my [Developmental Chart] and my [Anti-3 Star differences], I just feel like those can be put on hold while I write better guides which are more simpler to explain.  I usually post here when I release massive content, but I'm going to change it for this instance to keep you guys to anticipate what is to come, and also makes it so that I have a linear agenda and release schedule when it comes to content (instead of bouncing around cuz of A.D.D).

I've created another major heading, [Base Creating] which shows what to do as you are creating a base design.

Base Info = War Base as an overall source of knowledge
Base Creating = Information which regards to actual learning the outcomes and the components to creating a base
Base Review = Looking at a base through an outsider perspective, under a microscope
Concepts = ideas, thoughts, or anything that isn't concrete facts, but mostly information to be discuss or just think about
Buildings = Specific Building and their components describing details.
Others = random pages which are either old information, or outdated.

So now the first guide!  Offset Queen Guide!

Base Creation - Off Set Queen Guide
My Next Release will be [TH9 War Model - Previous and Current Models]  Explaining why there is an importance of the [30% Queen, 70% Three AD] ratio on the map in the current models of base building, compared to the old [Xbow>>DGB>>AD] building model which is outdated.  More Releases to come, so stay tune and thanks for being part of the Feed!

Dec 14 - aki and Coc Dec Cpdates

Hi there fellow clashers!

I know it's been a while since I've last updated (my viewers dropped by 20% XD), but it's exam month, and got tests and 4 projects to do, so I apologize.  Not going to talk much, but the new updates for Coc TH11, and stuff it's a big change, even in the war scene.

I know I have topics to catch up on and help inform the public, but I'm too busy with life right now to write content and update my website.  I did do some work and some readings for you guys though, and hopefully that'll make up for it.  With this coming update though, TH9 War scene will slowly fade in the months and TH10 might probably the new "Th9 sweet spot' for war.  I'm not TH10 yet or anytime soon, so I'll try to see what I can do to keep it updated.

[Developmental Chart of Clan War Bases]  Sneak Peak:only an of my developmental chart is available as I haven't finish writing the information for it.  This image though will be a PROTOTYPE, not the actual release, think of it as an alpha version of what I'm going to do.  The information that I will be including would be things such as for example why sometimes using Internet bases is ok if you only got like 3 TH9s and rest are TH8s or something.  Or information such as why sometimes it's better to develop how to make an a better base before you even start making an Offset Queen if you don't understand the concepts.

Updates Division 10 of my [Divisions and Stages of TH9 War Bases]: added more information regarding to the next stage of war base development.

Changes
- typo of [Hog Persepective] > [Hog Perspective]
- Kara Base Talk Series > Base Talk Series
- moved DGB Guide to [Buildings] section
-Canceled BCT
- [Current and Future Thoughts for War] will be changed to blog form.
-removed [Base Builder's Eye] Guide, since it wasn't helpful and I feel like it's not good enough
-not going to do the [FPC vs TWC] page since the era has ended
--------

Updates for the Future:
[Empty Core Style - Analysis]: I have alot of things to say when it comes to Empty Core (I read your comment Cooper :P), but I don't have time to do it right now.  I'll share what my views and analysis of it later on.

The [Anti - 3 Star Differences] page will go up later on as well.

[TH9 War Models - The Start Phase] - a new page which helps alot when it comes to describing how I personally see and personal build a base, and explaining the reasons why other 'models' of building a base isn't as good.  For example, the typical 1. CC in the middle 2. [Xbow>>DGB>>AD] beside it no longer works.  The most recent of base building needs to have a 30% Queen Zone, and 70% Three AD zone.  I'll explain more of this later.

Pleased to announce the fact that I will be starting a new Base building 'series', my last being Metaki which is months old and outdated to the extreme.  I haven't come up with the new title for the bases yet, but it does incorporate ideas and designs from the recent developments (such as empty core).

Thank you to those that have stuck around, and hopefully I keep your interest long enough :)

Thank you to those that donate.  Any amount is fine, and will help me feel appreciated, and motivated to produce more content (not too good of a reason, but at least I'm honest \o/). Donation helps me offset the some costs, so thank you very much.
