Weaknesses of Anti-3 Star Bases

WARNING: This page although can still be educational, and applies to 80% of the Anti-3 Star bases, this is a timed page (April 2015) pre-Air Sweeper update.  The Meeta has changed, and attacks/base design has also changed.
Video by Clash with DaRT, explaining how current Golavaloon attacks work against metabases.

There are two elements which the current elite war uses the most to beat the meta-bases.

1) Queen Kill + AD killing (1 AD almost always)

2)Clockwork style Lavaloon.

I'm not going to explain how these attacks work since by now if you are on this page, you got a sense of how lavaloon works.

But these two are the fundamental orders of which players do in order to lavaloon a base.

Why Does Shattered Lavaloon Work?

Picture
Here is the base example used in the video by DaRT.  A typical Anti 3 star/meta base (with a few problems of course) shown in the video.

How Meta Bases are Right now

Picture
This shows the usual 'template' of where everything is located within the grid for when it comes to  a meta base (green point def, purple wizT/archT, orange AD, red DGB).  Heroes, take out the Queen and one AD while the rest of the base being destroyed by clockwise/counter clockwise Lavaloon.

It's an L Shaped One-two-3 Steps to reach the Air Defense.

The Reason why does the Lavaloon Part Work

Picture
So why does these bases get clockworked so easily, where even just 2 spells can still beat 3/4th the base? This: there is no internal volume to the current anti-3 star bases.  Almost all defenses can be reached within 2 -3 step and 'clockwork'ing the lavaloons and th air defense can be reached with a rage spell's distance. most meta-bases right now (at least 80%) have their wizard towers beside air defenses which means the wizard towers are locked onto the lava, instead of fighting the loons.

In terms of Anti-3 base Characteristics

Picture
If you look at this image representing the Meta Base characteristics, you can see that there is only about 1-2 'steps' needs in order to reach the AD./ internal defense buildings.  The Spread out-ness of the base makes it harder for hogs but easier for lavaloons to cover almost majorty of the defense buildings and head straight for the AD.
